I got into podcasts in 2019. Do you remember when the movie Secret Obsession came out? Brenda Song was the lead actress and it was a big deal because we hadn’t seen her on TV in foooorrrreevver. So I was super excited to watch it, only to be like WTF the whole time. Mind you, her acting, chef's kiss. Love her just not the movie. The plot? The writing? Just not it. Anyway, after watching the movie I landed on an article about it and it was hilarious and described exactly how I felt watching it.
When I got to the end to see who wrote it, it also shared their podcast. All Aussie Mystery Hour. And there I found the joy of binging podcasts. I learned a lot about Australia, although I’m still terrible with their geography. Josie and Mel have fantastic banter and I would laugh out loud listening to them, I even joined their Facebook group. SPOILER they ended that podcast and started another podcast The Zest is History. I’ll link both podcasts at the bottom. As the name suggests, All Aussie Mystery Hour delved into unsolved Australian mysteries. It's been a while since I've listened to them but if I remember correctly they would trade off picking a mystery for that week's episode. It was a fun way to also learn a bit about Australian history and slang. And also learn the proper way to eat a Tim Tam and how much Vegemite you should put on toast.! I would definitely recommend it. Have you listened? Do you want to? What say you?
