This is a good one! The Retrievals is a podcast about women who went to the fertility clinic at Yale University and during the egg retrieval procedure,

the nurse administering the pain medication was stealing it and replacing it with saline.

Absolutely fucking terrible. This 5 part series (which I wish was longer ) tells the story of women who were made to believe that they were crazy, that they had a resistance to fentanyl, and that they needed to just suck it up. Some screamed and yelled during their procedure, one woman fainted and most of them all suffered some form of anxiety and trauma from their experience.

What I found even more shocking was how Yale handled the situation. With very little compassion and empathy towards these women. It's just crazy that they thought they could just kind of sweep it under the rug. And don't get me started on the repercussions the nurse faced.

There are only 5 episodes in this series, so it's short and you can finish it in the afternoon.
